Our story
We started building ConsultantOS because we were tired of losing half a day every week writing the same client progress reports.
## The problem we saw If you're a solo or small consultant, client reporting is an unavoidable tax on your time. You already tried handing it off to a VA—$225 to $625/month—but the back-and-forth to get draftable context eats into those savings. And the reports still need your voice, your judgment, your sign-off.
No existing tool handled this well. Practice management software tracked pipelines. Calendly booked calls. But generating a structured, client-ready progress report? That was still a manual copy-paste job.
## How we built it We started with AI/LLM tooling on nights and weekends. Initial capital: under $50K. First working prototype: six weeks from first commit. Zero professional credentials required—just a tight loop of building, testing, and shipping.
We built privacy-first from the start. Your client notes never leave your control. We don't use them for training. No third-party data sharing. Clean architecture, nothing hidden.
## What we believe Consultants deserve tools that work as hard as they do. No bloat. No vendor lock-in. No mystery pricing.
We're small on purpose. That lets us stay close to what consultants actually need—and ship features based on real usage, not conference room roadmaps.
